1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using the CopyrightChains platform ("Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use this Service.
2. Description of Service
CopyrightChains provides a private blockchain-based copyright management system utilizing Power-of-Content (PoC) consensus mechanism. The Service includes:
- Digital identity management through SempreID soulbound tokens
- Copyright registration for musical works and recordings
- Automated royalty distribution through WhiteBox system
- Blockchain verification and immutable record keeping
3. Access Requirements
Access to CopyrightChains is by invitation only and requires:
- Whitelist approval from CopyrightChains administrators
- Valid SempreID soulbound token
- Compliance with KYC/AML requirements
- Acceptance of these Terms of Service
4. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information during registration
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Only register copyrights for works you own or have rights to
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
- Not attempt to circumvent the ADMIN-ONLY transaction pattern
5. Intellectual Property Rights
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by New Internet Media (NIM) and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
6. Copyright Registration
By registering a copyright through our Service:
- You warrant that you are the rightful owner or authorized representative
- You grant CopyrightChains the right to create immutable blockchain records
- You understand that blockchain registrations cannot be deleted or modified
- You acknowledge the 16/84 royalty distribution model
7. Privacy and Data Protection
Your use of our Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy, which also governs the Site and informs users of our data collection practices.
8. Blockchain Immutability
You understand and agree that:
- All blockchain transactions are permanent and irreversible
- CopyrightChains cannot modify or delete blockchain records
- The ADMIN-ONLY pattern means users don't sign transactions directly
- Gas fees are symbolic (NUT tokens) and transactions are effectively free
9. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall CopyrightChains, NIM, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
10. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless CopyrightChains and its licensee and licensors, and their employees, contractors, agents, officers and directors, from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees).
11. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account and bar access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, under our sole discretion, for any reason whatsoever and without limitation, including but not limited to a breach of the Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect.
